Default Airbag recall

Hey all just got word my truck is involved in the airbag recall.
Anyone have any info on how I can get this fixed? Online the status says parts unavailable, but the chat rep said the parts are being installed when they are avalible. And said I should make an appointment. So my unanswered question is how do I get this fixed! Why would I make an appointment If they don't have parts? I'm not thrilled about driving around in a truck that could shoot metal at me, my wife or sun.

you should be able to disable the passenger bag... using you key.. and pull fuse for yours.

1 phone call to local dealer... when he gets the items.. will call you for a day/time.

and 35 million bags will take time to make them all.

Make your appointment, they call you when the parts are in. Get in line early. The longer you wait, the longer you will have to wait.

Called the dealer they said to wait for another notice. Because there is no "remedy" . I don't know how I feel about turning the airbags off, or if that would screw up insurance if I had a crash. I might just not drive it...

your truck, your life...

I drove for 40 years without an air bag... still here.
and just as long riding a motorcycle... again still here.

the first 10 years the cars did not have seat belts...???
I Think the first car With seat belts that I owned was a 1972 Caprice wagon.

and I lived in the city of Cleveland Ohio... Rust belt of the USA.

If your concerned about the insurance aspect, I'm sure you could call them and ask.

The Dodge Ram was announced a few weeks ago. I meant to post up but I've been so busy.

I would drive as usual. In the event something happened, you can sue.

I would NOT remove the airbag fuses or disable them. In the event of a crash, the likely hood of metal fragments hurting you is low. IF you got hurt or killed, you have zero recourse and your insurance company can even deny your claim and/or drop you for tampering with a safety device.
Best to park the vehicle if you are that worried.
