Default 06 Dodge Ram 1500 ABS & Brake lights

The ABS & Brake lights come on at random times on the dash. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this please?

dmt2358,

I've attached some info. from the owner's manual which may help explain what you're seeing on the dash.
If you notice any reduced braking performance etc., please notify your local Ram dealer and have it looked at.

Check out pages 229-230 for further reading.

Thank you, I'll check through those pages. The brakes are still working fine, that's what was puzzling me about the lights doing what they are.

Check for play in the front wheel bearing. Jack and push and pull on the top and bottom of the tire.

dmt2358,

You're welcome!
An ABS service light may come on so that could be what you're seeing.
If that's the case, the brakes will continue to work however without the advantage of ABS.
