Default Transmission Issue, Good Reverse No Forward

Hi Everyone

SO yesterday, my truck all the sudden decided to quit going forward.

Start it truck idles fine
But if you rev it in Park in feel like there is a load on it.

Put it in Reverse works great, can drive around the yard
Does not Slip, runs and sounds right

Go and Put it in Drive, 2nd or 1st and you get nothing
Acts the same as in park, rev it and it dont go no where

Clutches and stuff seem fine, as there was no previous slipping, hell just last weekend i towed a 64 cadillac over 140 miles up hills and everything.

The Day it happened, I just drove it 30 minutes prior, back it up to load some stuff and got in put it in drive and nothing.

Read the Internet, pulled the pan filter was still in place.

Replaced both filters and new fluid.

Still the same thing

If i start it and disconnect the control module, when i drop it in 1st it will lunge forword 6" to a foot but thats it.

It has not thrown any codes
(other than the P0700 when i disconnected the control module)

I am thinking it is a stuck solenoid, or bad solenoid but i am not sure where to start on checking those.

ANd there is no transmission speciality shop for 100 miles. besides i would rather fix it myself if i can.

2006 5.7 Hemi
Thanks

How many miles? What did the trans fluid look/smell like when you changed it?

miles are 115k
Fluid was great just changed it when i rebuilt my engine.

But when i drained it the other day it was discolored some, smell was a little off from normal fluid smell.
But i figured that was from me trying to get it to go.
clutches should not be bad, and reverse works great.

Take it by a trans shop and have them hook up their handheld unit and drive it. Shouldn't cost anything. Could be a torque convertor.

Chris Check the Fuse.... The Black one most of all.... the 0700 can be a no communications error.
