Default Want to swap 04 Dana 60 rear end into my 04 Hemi Ram 1500

I have a chance to buy a 04 Hemi Rams 2500 rear end for a good price and I want to put it into my 04 Hemi Ram 1500 that's 9.25 diff is on the way out.

I heard some people say I will need to mod my drive shaft, I don't want to trust one source, just wondering if anyone has done it?

You should be fine as long as if you're 4x4 the gears are the same

Good question but I highly doubt it. I believe 2500 series uses the 6 bolt wheels vs the 1500 with 5 bolt wheels, and the axles themselves are most likely heavier.

I think 2500 springs are wider but that probably won't hurt with 1500 springs. Most likely will need 2 spare tires as mentioned above.

2500's use an 8 lug wheel. Due to the size and different mounting (pretty sure the bigger axles don't use the flange the 1500's do) you will need a custom driveshaft. Also the likelihood of the gears matching what you have in the 1500 (most likely 3.73's and you probably have 3.55/3.92's in the 1500) is a bit low. By the time you do all the work/spend $$ you'd probably be ahead of the game with a fresh 9.25.
