Default Cherry juice from power steering pump or resevoir leak

Hey guys, just wanted your expert opinions and advice. I just recently noticed a small leak on the ground and its power steering fluid. There is an obvious area in the power steering pump area and its making its way down to the frame and dripping. Class II leak for you Army brats out there. Any suggestions? Steering works fine, no issues with turning and no noises...

Marcus.

If you can't find it easily, wash down the area with some engine cleaner and let it dry. Should be easier to find after that.

I replaced my power steering cooler but that was leaking on the right front corner area no where near the pump. Just thought I would advise. This is a common problem if you live up north with salty winters .

Hello gentlemen,

Im just following up on this post. I am on Rock auto.com and trying to locate the correct hose to order and Im lost in the sauce!! I have the right vehicle in the input information which is a 2006 dodge ram 2500 4wd V8 4.7L Hemi. It still does the leaking thing but it does is if I leave it parked for atleast 2 days with out driving it. I want to replace the hose but I dont know which one to replace.

I'm on my 3rd Power Steering pump in 2 years. They're absolute S. H. I. T. and I found out why, Ford makes them! yes Ford Motor Company. The last pump I bought was a O'Rielly Reman and I still have fluid leaks all the time around the bearing/shaft input, I add a quart every 2 months or so just don't even care anymore I'm so numb to it.

Oh wow, mine is not leakin that much, its a high pressure hose thats gone faulty I think and when it sits, it just leaks I suppose but not enough to have to refill it.
