Default Transponder key

Only have 1 good key to work with bought 2 keys and 2 fobs from ebay do I have to shell out the 75 bones dealer wants or can I do it myself any help thax.

For transponder keys, you need two working keys to add a third. If it's just a fob, you need one working to add some. $75 isn't too bad. Some locksmiths can to this now, I think.

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Tampa little far to drive just seems like a scam lot of money to hook up the drb.

The "scam" was the dealer who sold you the truck. 'Course, it helps to do your homework. Maybe the dealer can get you a break, although that's still a good price. I paid $132 for a spare key for my 300C and $140 on the spare for my Speed 3. Mercedes and BMW get $300+

I did not buy from and would never buy from a dealer I have worked in dealerships for 40 years and know the trickery of it all when I worked at Dodge we had a DRB on the drive and would program for free it was a courtesy to our customers not a money maker same when I worked at Acura. After completing the truck with purchase price I have 5500 in it but it is new from front to rear and I will have a dependable tow vehicle for years to come and after swapping the 3.92 rear for a 3300 mile 355 I am averaging 15.5 around town and 18.6 hwy so after my last TV that got 8mp very happy with my decision.
