BANG?
I have a 2002 Ram 1500 with the 5.9 in it,and 62k miles on it.
Yesterday I was driving down interstate at about 65 mph when the truck banged. I dont know how to describe it other than it was a bang, almost like the ignition cut out or the tranny locked for a split second.
I thougt I hit somthing in the road, but I didnt.
Has anyone experienced this ? What could it be?
Any help would be great.
Truck is 2wd 4speed automatic. Smartass responses welcome.

Did the transfer case slip to four wheel drive then kick back to two wheel drive? My friend had a truck that would do this. The shifter would vibrate up and start to engage 4 wheel drive, the gears would smack, make a loud noise and then jump back to two wheel drive. Real scary when you are driving home drunk in at 3am.
