Default 04 Ram 1500 Hemi, Diablo T1000 or Super Chips? Which is better?

Hi, I am looking at the Diablo T1000 or and the Super chips Tuners, Is the Diablo worth the extra money? Are tuners something that is worth it anyway? Will I notice a difference?

What are the difference between the 2? I am not looking to go crazy with upgrades with the truck, Maybe exhaust and cold air intake. Thanks

I have the 04 and the Trinity (Diablo) but I am custom tuned also.

If you are just getting a air intake and a few bolt-ons, then get the SC and use its built in tunes. The Diablo can do way more but if you aren't going to use it then there is no reason to buy it.

I bought an older 3815 Superchips tuner and honestly with the 91 Octane tune the difference is HUGE!. Completely different truck, I used the presets for the engine tune and manually tuned my transmission and rev limiter, raised rev lim to 6150Rpm and that took away that early 2nd gear lag, it jumps into 2nd gear now like a manual trans being bang shifted, plus it will kick down into first gear anywhere up to 44mph.

I beat my cousins '69 4406bbl automatic GTX with my truck by a car length from a dead stop, we both lit the tires up badly because we weren't taking the race so serious because we both figured his GTX would easily win. I threw the truck into first gear and floored it and figured I could use burning out as an excuse for losing, but my cousin being overconfident decided to do the same thing so we both lit up side by side like a bunch of race noobs. We both swore that 6bbl 440 would rape my truck, but during the race the Hemi pulled the upset with the superchips tune, we both caught traction around 50mph side by side at the same time and that's where I started to pull on him. If his 6bbl had the right power valve and a manual trans, the story would have been completely different and lopsided. To this day it was the best race I ever did with my truck, cuz it was so movie like & dramatic with both of us roasting the tires and the way it unfolded.

Before anyone calls bs on me burning out up to 50mph, take a look at my truck doing a decent size burnout

Are the canned tunes better from one to another?

Been a while since I've looked at a canned tune but there used to be a Towing, and Performance and Economy tune I think

There's 87, 91 (performance) and 91 towing. Generally geared to octane level.

If I went with the Superchips, is there something else I could get that will have a display like the T1000 that shows all of the extra parameters ( fuel pressure, trans temp, times and so on ) Not a tuner just a add on display.

Also does the T1000 and the superchips do away with the speed limiter?

So how does this plan sound,

Super chips tuner ( Not sure which model yet I see they have new one coming out )

And either Single or Dual Gauge

http://aeroforcetech.com/products_interceptor.html

Single i can mount with SRT Pillar if I can find color, Not sure how id mount dual gauge as i really want to keep my handle.

Super chip seems to get better reviews and Id rather have gauges then a GPS looking like thing sitting on dash, And the cost will be about the same for either package.

What do you guys think?

If I buy a dual Aero force gauge package can I disconnect one gauge and only use one now and save the other for later? When i figure out how I want to mount it?
