Default 05 ram wont fire?

ive been starting to work on this 05 ram. the truck was parked on our property somtime in 08 and left. i put fresh gas etc. i hotwired it. i needed it to be a farm truck. now whenever i start it will kind of act like it wants to start and hiccup. sounds like its not getting enough gas. if you let it sit for a while somtimes it will start and idle. but a low rpms. you can rev it graudually up to 4000 rpm. then it will want to die. also if you give a fast throttle increase or go full throttle it will die. please help.

two things, need a strong battery for one, also if you have a second key try using that, my 05 Dakota did the same thing, come to find out the programmable key lost it sensitivity to the computer, luckily I had a second key, soon as I inserted key and started truck everything came back to life. also check for wires that have been chewed by animals. they love making nests in vehicles that have been sitting long

No direct reading gauge on the fuel rail.
