Dropped valve
Howdy all! Been awhile since I have had time to do much truck related. Hope everyone is doing well.
I just bought a 2003 Dodge ram 2500 with the Hemi that broke a spring, dropped the valve and bent a push rod. So I'm probably in need of a reman long block for her. I can get one locally from autozone/napa..etc for about $3k with a 3yr/36k warranty. Not super familiar with buy long blocks or with these hemi's, so some advice where a good spot to buy a motor from would be great! I would like to stay $3k and under if possible for a reman, and I'll be dropping the motor in myself.

Alright, so I pulled the head just for ***** and giggles on the side with the dropped valve. Hardly bent the valve, and the valve barely kissed the piston. So I'm going to just go ahead and put a set of new updated heads on it and call it good. So since I have the intake off and both heads off, anything I can do for better fuel economy and or power? Should I just have my heads rebuilt? First time doing anything on a 3rd Gen. Pretty sweet truck!
