Default 2004 2500 Front End "clunk"

First time posting on this thread so I will be as descriptive as possible,
I own a 2004 Dodge 2500 quad cab with the 5.7, I noticed a "knocking" noise last week, it is located (or seems to be) on the drivers side front end, at first it was only during deceleration under 5 MPH and slowed with wheel speed, and is not effected by breaking, at first it was effected by turning, now it is not, and it has become more pronounced and starts at about 15 MPH, and decreases with wheel speed, does not make noise during acceleration. I had the front end serviced just before the issue started, they said my wheel bearings are fine and my bushings looked fine, then my problem started. any suggestions would be a huge help, Also, only seems to happen after 10 or so minutes of driving, and does not happen in 4x4

Really sounds like CV joint or axle. I noticed the noise wasn't as pronounced during acceleration and non-existent in 4x4, however mine is a 1500.

Wheel bearings and u joints can be tight, and still be bad. How many miles on the rig?

Just take it to a shop that does front end alignments and let them tell you what parts it is. Replace them yourself and let them do the alignment

My 04 did exactly that I replaced everything on the front end.. It ended up being the lower control arm bushings. They are a bitch to change though,, I would recommend getting the whole lower control arm with bushing already installed…

check the u-joints on the front drive shafts, most likely find the needle bearings are gone. These are very easy to check----2500's don't have cv shafts sfd. Chances are, if it is these, you'll be going through the whole front end anyway.
