Default 2004 Ram 1500 4.7 overheating

I have read a lot of threads on this subject but have some specific questions still.
When it overheats top hose is hot , radiator and bottom hose cool. i took out the thermostat and just replaced the water pump. if i put a water hose in top hose water runs out bottom hose.

most likely have / had head leaking into exhaust . used some head sealant

read about getting bubbles out - why would this cause overheating ( not possible if head still leaking)

was told by one mechanic who knows these 4.7 that he wont do head job on them ( they come back to bite Him) , just replaces it.

next step is to replace radiator or engine ?

Any wisdom appreciated

Fix the head gasket correctly. Sealant is bad news. Sealers can plug up stuff you don't want it to.
