Default Front Differential Tube
It's safe to say that I'm not a motor head or anything. Today I changed my front differential fluid with the close supervision of an actual mechanic.

I just have one question about the differential. What is that tube that connects to the front cover for?

If it's the rubber tube. It's a vent line.

Yes, it's a rubber tube. I thought it may be something like that since nothing came pouring out when I disconnected it. Thanks for the help.

make sure the vent line is not clogged. if the diff can't vent..it will create pressure on the axle seals and leak past them.

Oh, gotcha. Sorry, I was thinking something internal for some reason (multitasking at the time). Yeah, a vent. The one in the back is even longer.
