I picked it up from the dealer no shipping, hood with Bezel and hardware was $735. Buddy owns body shop, Painting wont be much.

Price of hood is above, Paint is going to be different for you, My buddy owns shop I don't pay much for Bodywork. I ordered the hood and the bezel as a kit from the Mopar catalog.

I have 05 ram 1500 and the hood needs paint or I would like to put the newer hoods or srt model. Is this something I can do? Any info on what I will need will help

 

Yes Order the hood kit like I did or try and find one used, Everything from your old hood transfer over.

No, You would have to look for a aftermarket hood that looks similiar to teh new hoods if they make them.

 

I got my Hood painted and installed, I don't have any pictures, I painted and cleared the top and the bottom of the hood black and painted the air scoop, the only thing I left Flat black was the grill part of the scoop. The hood fits great and looks great, I may get the Insulation when it becomes available as it is on Back order at the moment. I am glad I went factory as I am quiet picky and this hood fits perfect.
