I have an 02 with the 4.7 with 185k. The previous owner took off the stock air intake system and put a single K&N filter right at the TB. Don't ask. I don't know why...... well I ordered an after market air intake that moves the filter down close by the radiator for better and cooler air flow, problem is it has a port for the mass air flow sensor but I don't know where mine is and everything i read says it has one. And this is an engine that I had both heads pulled off of 9 months ago for head gaskets, so you would think i'd had seen the connector hanging around. Can anyone help out?

 

That should be an inlet temp sensor. As far as I know dodge's use MAP sensors.

 

Ok well maybe I am calling it the wrong name. A friend has the exact truck as me but his has the stock air intake and right on the intake there is a sensor. I'm trying to figure out that one and possibly why mine is missing. I can't imagine the previous owner cutting it or removing it.

 

It has to have one, or you would have check engine light. And would run like ***. Some of have it on the throttle body.
