Default faulty power window

Ok, my rear passenger window will not roll up. It only rolls down. My fuses are good, the switch is good, the regulator is good. So I figured it must be the motor. So I bought a new one and plugged it in. The gear will still only rotate one direction. But when I switch the two wires that go to it, it moves the other direction. So I figured it was obviously the wires. So I pulled them both out, stuck two new wires in, and it's the exact same outcome... according to my light up circuit tester, all the other wires going to the switch are good. So... any advice??

Sounds like a bad switch.

Well I thought so too. I used the switch from the other rear window (that works) and it was the same. Then I used the switch from the bad window on the good window and it worked.

Could be a bad master switch.

What would be bad about it? How do I check it?

Des the window go up and down from the drivers panel? The master switch controls the other switches. Make sure you get power from that switch to the other. Both up and down.

The master switch will roll it down but not up. I checked the wires and there is power going through them when the master switch is put to up or down. Could it be the module??

Because I'm thinking could it be possible there is power going through but it's just not enough for everything to function right?

Ok. Check for the same voltages at the faulty window switch. That will let you know if the wiring is ok.

I have the circuit tester with the light, if it lights up is it good? Or should I get one that shows me the actual reading?
