Default 5.7 bolt on 5 speed nv4500 trans

Hi. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 SLT quad cab short bed 5 speed manual 4.7L. Im thinking about doing a 5.7L hemi swap but was wondering if it will bolt on to my NV4500 trans. Thanks

Are you sure you have an NV4500 with your 4.7L and not a NV3500?
I think all the 4.7L's had NV3500's and the 5.7L is what has the NV4500.

Is your case One-piece or two, that would determine what you have. I believe the 3500's are one piece and 4500's are two piece.

At any rate, the bellhousing pattern is the same but I would not reccomend bolting a 5.7L up to a smaller cased NV3500.It's a lighter duty transmission not rated for that kind of power. Plus, the NV3500 is a sloppy trans anyways.

First verify what trans you actually have.

Yes i have the nv3500. My fault. So It'd be better to get a nv4500 with the hemi?

Default Nv3500 hold hemi?

Hi all. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. All stock. Only thing is i have 18's on 31's. But other than that everything else is bone stock. I would like to take out my 4.7 V8 and put a 5.7 hemi in. Ive been reading that the NV3500 holds up to 300 tq but ive also read where people have more tq and the trans is still holding up fine. I just wanna know for sure if the NV3500 will be ok to bolt up to a hemi. Stock motor stock axels.
Thank you.
