My truk drove itslef ito the woods
I always set my parking brake... now.
A little over a year ago my truck popped out of gear and rolled down my driveway, across the street and into my neighbors house. Fortunately no one was hurt (other than my ego). The damage was surprisingly minor, one sheet of siding, one 2x4 stud (hit the corner of the garage) a tailgate and rear bumper.

Well, it seems like the discussion is going in the wrong direction. Evil machines etc...
I do need help.
How do I fix the truck?
What do you do when you get a "no fuse" message and all the fuses are fine?

The discussion has turned because nobody has an answer for a truck that started itself, put itself in gear and ended up against a tree. Just like no one had an answer for the guy a while ago who wondered where the bolts were coming from that appeared to drop from under his truck day after day.
Some things just can't be explained!

Any theories?
This will take some basic troubleshooting.
My guess is that something caused the started to engage and move the truck without the engine starting.
This could be caused by a short in the ignition switch, or a short in the wire to the starter solenoid.
As to the no start how, does the stater have 12 volts to it?
I would not be surprised if the starter is burned out, they are not designed for extended cranking, especially under the load of moving (or attempting to move) a truck.
So Test the starter voltage, and start circuit, that will probably tell you the story.
