Default 5.7 hemi Intake question

I have a VaraRam intake and just changed my spake plugs this morning and it was just a huge pain in the *** with all the space that it takes up. I have a Superchip, dual 2.5" exhaust with 2 10 series flowmasters with an X pipe, and of course the intake. Does anyone know of any intake that will give you the best performance that won't take up near as much space. I also plan on having some motor work done here after while as well. Cam, heads, injectors, lifters, springs, & headers. Getting ready for a pro charger down the road. Any help is appreciated

If you're gonna get a pro charger, the cai location shouldn't matter at the moment. That blower will have you at its mercy to where the cai will go in order to meet the fit and function. Depending on what may be in the way with your current setup, I'd say put the stock filer box back in and drop a K&N inside. All those others do about the same for the most part since you swap the stock box out for someone else's cooler looking box and a better filter. Unless you're goin for some kinda extra snorkel action from a ram air vent like a volant, I'd just save some money and headache and go back to stock box with better filter until you drop a blower in there. Just my .02
