Default Good engines to swap in?

Hey guys I own a 2008 ram 1500 3.7 v6 manual trans. So I've figured out that swapping in a hemi 5.7 will be a lot of parts so I was wondering what other v8 options are there where I wouldn't have to buy as many parts. Personally I want to just buy the engine and the Trans that will support its power but if I need to buy more parts let me know.

Any engine you swap will need to have the proper supporting electronics. Gone are the just swap an engine days.

The 4.7 would at least be the same engine family, BUT will entail the same electronics headaches as in 08 they went to an electronic throttle body as well as significant upgrades to the engine itself.

Sell the truck and buy one already equipped with a V8. That will save a lot of time, money, and aggravation.
