04 Dodge Ram 1500 3.7 ASD Continuously clicking
Hey all... So I recently hooked up a new set of fog lights. Ran all new wiring so as to not disturb any of the original stuff, etc. Started the truck so I wouldn't strain the battery while aligning the new fog lights...
Shut the truck off and heard this clicking sound. Traced it out and back to the ASD Relay. Pulled the ground off the battery... it stopped. Hooked it back up. No clicking. Started the truck. No clicking. Shut the truck back off... And the clicking started again. Repeated this procedure several times.
What could have started this problem? I touched no original wiring at all in the process of hooking up the new fog lights. Can I run the truck like this, or is it going to hurt something? This clicking will eventually drain the battery I'm guessing, so I just don't wanna push my luck and fry the relay too.
What could possibly be causing this? Any ideas? Please help. Thanks in advance for your assistance! I'm confused, but then again, it doesn't take much these days.
