FIXED! Power Steering leak!.
Since I bought my truck I've had some sort of power steering leakage, the first time I "fixed" it, it was replacing 2 power steering pumps 10 months apart that had leaked out of the bearing.
December of 2014 I bit the bullet & bought a brand new pump, then I started getting a few drips every now and then, enough to where I would have to put a half quart of fluid in every 2-3 months, lately its been sooner and it went from a month to 2 weeks to a week to finally pissing it all out during a 400 mile round trip. I feel horrible for saying this, but when the leak was a 2-3 month add fluid affair it was priority 99 on my 100 things to do list, I tried to re-tighten all the fittings but they were fine and torqued to spec, I was lost as to where the fluid was coming from as the engine fan just blows the fluid everywhere and its extremely hard to track down when you run the vehicle for even a few seconds.
I started to think it was the dreaded rack & pinion problem as my leaks were coming from the drivers side boot of the rack, but I had gotten a tip that the power steering low pressure return line from the cooler is notorious for getting loose overtime and leaks.
I wasn't completely sold on this being the problem as so many had said replace the rack, I added a hose clamp and sprayed everything down with brake cleaner & wiped it down, my leaks got smaller until finally nothing was on the ground anymore, it appears that all the fluid from that hose leaking was stuck in the boot and getting rid of it was as simple as driving the truck
Proud to say 2 days later NO LEAKS! or wetness anywhere under the truck.
Your leak may be as simple as a hose clamp ;-)
