Default ABS light and P1501 code

2005 Ram 1500
So i have had my ABS and brake lights come on intermittently and occasionally at the same time i can feel my ABS kick in, and this is on dry pavement.
I checked the codes and got a P1501 for the vehicle speed sensor which i believe is on the trans. Would it most likely be just that or could it be one of the ABS sensors as well?
The speedometer works just fine but the cruise shuts off when the lights are on.
Thanks any info would be useful.

abs sensors might be slightly unplugged or wire about to break or rubbed thru the wire sheathing to the frame

I have the same situation. But my scanner said sensor 1/2 is bad. Does that mean the front left? The back is new.

I gave the search a go. Ended up in this thread. I found that the LF abs sensor was defective as others have.

The vehicle speed sensor is actually a combined ABS/Speed sensor on the top of the rear differential. The speed sensor on the trans does not give the pcm a reading for the speed of the vehicle, rather the pcm reads it to know when to shift the trans. Speedometer reference is from the rear abs sensor on the diff.
