Default 12v power point fuse locations

In my 07 2500 CTD I have 2 12v power points. One on the dash and one in the center console. The one on the dash has quit working and I assume I have blown a fuse. The one in the console still works ok.

I have checked the fuse box under the hood and they are all good. So, either the fuse(s) are located somewhere else or the power point itself has gone bad.

Anyone know which and where the fuses for the power points are?

Thanks,

I just went through the lighter plug deal on my dash it was not working to good I had to hold what ever I put in the dash off to the side with pressure for it to work.
So I bought a new receptacle replaced and all works now.

Good Luck

Thumbs up Power Outlet Fuses

You've probably found them by now, so this might help someone else.
Check fuses 25 and 42.

Nope...not yet. Honestly have not been looking lately.

I checked all the fuses under the hood and they were good. My mechanic believes the fuse is under the dash. Had this same issue several years ago and he found it last time. When I do find it, will need to make note of it this time!

Thumbs up Think I Found Them

The one under the hood in the PDC beside the battery is FUSE L, 20 AMP.
The other one is in the JUNCTION BLOCK in the side of the dash by the driver's door. It is FUSE 15, 20 AMP.

Someone else has mentioned that. But, it does not look like the side of the dash comes off very easy??? Guess I will need to take a closer look at it.

Ok...finally some time to do some troubleshooting.

1. RTFM...looked at the owners manual again...must have had one beer to many or something when I first looked at it. Fuse position #1 for Power Outlet in center console; position #38 for power outlet IP (instrument panel). It is the outlet in the panel that quit working. So, answered my own question...lol

2. Got the 12v test lamp out and had battery at both sides of each fuse (1 and 38). Looks like fuses are ok. Guess I could put in another fuse at #38 just to make sure.

3. Took the test lamp and saw good battery at console PO (making sure I was doing correctly), but nothing at PO in panel.

4. So, looks like I have a bad PO or wiring along the way.

5. Pick up new PO and go from there.

Thanks for everyone's input.
