Default Windshield wipers stopped working....

2007 Dodge 2500

2days ago it started rain gin so I turned the wipers on. They made a wired sound, and then stopped working. No matter where I position the wiper on/off switch the wipers no longer work...

There's a fuse (F8 30 Amps) and 2 relays, Wiper On/Off and Wiper High/Low In the Power Module next to the battery, I think. I'm not sure about your model, check your Owner's Manual.

I had a similar problem with my 2001 3500. Turns out a simple and FREE fix did the trick on mine. The rear bolt holding the motor to the cowl has the motor ground. I had the wiper motor on the work bench, but cleaning the motor ground brass strap, the bolt sleeve and the under side of the bolt and applying some dilectric grease will ensure a good ground! That worked for me! Good Luck!

Motor was shot.

I bought a cheaper rebuild instead of the OEM. The blades don't go down as far but they work...

If the going up position is over, see if you can adjust the position so it can go down further.
