Unusual request here, but can anyone tell me the weight of a truck bed ?
2003 Ram, Quad cab with a 6ft bed. Just need the approx weight of the bed, not the full truck.

Reason being I am arranging delivery of a bed and the shipping agent needs the approx. weight of the bed ! All help gratefully appreciated.

I just took my 6' bed off my Dakota for a restore, and it's not that heavy...Me and my 11 year old son and a friend were able to move it around. I'd guess no more than 300 lbs.

Just need a rough idea. I take it a bed from a 2006 will be the same as a 2003 ?
