Default Finally putting the Ram to work...

I'm playing delivery boy and heading to central IL (from north Louisiana) tomorrow afternoon to make a drop at the race shop. This is what we bought the hemi Ram for in the first place, to tow my wife's play car--MegaMonsterMiata (447hp Kenne Bell supercharged 5-liter) that's about to be stripped and converted to a Salt Flats racer.

We took a quick spin to check out everything and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes, since the Ram and I'll be spending many, many miles together in this configuration over the next 5 to 7 years (loooonnnngggg way to Wendover, Utah from Louisiana)!

I bought the hemi for the job because: 1) I'm a life-long hemi fan with a couple 392 equipped vehicles, and 2) I wanted a truck to work one or two weeks out of the year that I can live with as an alternate daily driver the rest of the year, meaning it must readily get out of its own tracks when I push the go pedal. It does the latter quite well...

Now, we'll see about that other week each year and how well we chose!

Later.

Awesome! The ram will sure handle the job right. Hope everything goes well with the car and making the long trip!

Should get some different tires for that bad boy, did you paint those rims black yourself?

Yeah, I painted the cheapo stock wheel centers black and the outsides chrome aluminum. Hey, it's a tow truck!

Thanks for the kind words.

Here's one of my hemis with custom wheels...

Nice rides! Also, nice trailer! Is it custom made for your needs?
