hey guys
i have 2003 ram 1500
it idles rough and shows the etc light. I changed the throttle body and map sensor no change...i changed the pcm about 2 months ago because of a faulty coil...i checked for shorts and found out i had a short in the radio/door wiring. would that short have caused the etc light or possibly fried the pcm ? what else can i look for?
i almost forgot the important...got codes 1618 and 2106

Most of the ones I have read were caused by intermittent wiring shorts to ground.

 

Which engine do you have? 4.7 or Hemi?

 

i have a 5.7....it was found..it turned out to be a shorted spark plug wire. funny thing it never showed a code for that.
