Default Shut off going down the road

I have an 06 3500 4x4 5.9 with manual 6 speed with 250,000 miles, it shut off on me while I was driving, the dash lights started blinking and the check engine light is blinking, there is a noise coming from the starter silonoid on the fender well and a noise coming from the fuel pump in the tank that isn't normally there. I hooked a code reader to it but it doesn't want to communicate with it. What could the problem be?

Start with Check fuel pressures. Possibly bad fuel pump.

Sounds like a faulty power or ground connection or discharged battery.
