Today my Ignition would not turn when I put the key in.The only thing I had in my truck at the time was some wire cutters.So I hit the end of the key and the truck started.Then after I stopped for gas and the key wouldn't turn again.So I went to the parts store and the guy sold me grafite lock lube the stuffs like black power and put it in and it still didn't start.So then I sprayed electronic cleaner in and got all the grafite out and now the key turns and the truck starts 4 hours later.You think I should still replace my ignition anyway?I'm mean now that I lubed it seems fine or would you just leave it be?any info will help thanks.

 

Usually it's a key issue. The lock tumblers usually don't wear out.

 

hmm ya i know what you mean but i carry 2 sets of keys and both keys didnt work.
