Default Shocks

I have an 2004 Rumble Bee. I purchased new ones from Advance Auto and they bottom out. The rumble bee is factory lowered with the leaf springs mounted under the rear axle and there's no listing for it. How can I find the proper size shocks for that truck? The old ones were thrown out so I can't measure those. A Dodge dealer told me that the rear shocks were discontinued. Is there a formula to determine the size by measuring upper and lowing brackets for the rear shocks?

Did you ask the dealer for the OE Ram part number of the discontinued shocks? This way, you can easily cross-reference that number with other brands.

And, I personally would NOT trust a dealer providing the sole input on this. Jump over to the Chrysler Ram site to enter your VIN number and receive your vehicle's build sheet. It may take a day or two for the response to show up in your email.

From the build sheet, you will have details on what shocks were directly used on your truck

+1 on RockAuto. They have a wide selection of replacement parts with good pricing.
