Hey, thanks for the info on both the dakota and the ram.
Impressed with the mileage you got on that Ram too. I have been babying my truck for 11 years now. All mopar fluids when they get changed and just got royal purple 5w-30 for my next oil change. Have been running Mobil 1 10w-30 because of how hot it gets in vegas (115+) for over 10 years. Have a slight "Hemi Tick" and am curious if RP and filter will cure but not even hoping!
I just passed 98k and to hear that it is possible to get 250k is almost unbelievable. Will keep on with quality maintenance! I have to admit I am a little on the **** side about that. I even keep an extra OEM throttle body on hand so I can clean it at my leisure between maintenance operations.
I did have to change out my rear diff though. That was a 1500 dollar hit when I did not expect it(had the best driveline shop in vegas do it). The clutch pack retaining clips on the LSD rears were problematic so rather than replacing with factory I went with a Detroit True Trac and it has been tight so far?
Glad to hear there are still some 3rd gen trucks still holding tough. I see them running around town here some really nice and some beat all to hell but still going.
Hope you get well past 400k on that truck.
Thanks
