07 ram 1500 turned wipers on started making loud wining sound work for about 5 mins and quit , what can i check before i have to pay someone to fix which i would rather do myself but i am new to the ram

 

check fuse it looks good and when I turn it to high i can hear a faint click sound but that all i am getting

 

You getting power to the motor? If so bad motor.

 

rockauto, buy a replacement motor assembly, its under the cowl, three 10mm bolts pulls it off, switch out the motor assembly, reinstall-----you can probably get this done in an hour or less yourself. If you don't feel comfortable initially---check youtube, its most likely out there
