Default Amp and Subs

Hey guys, i never had a big sound system in my car, dont really know if i'll like it for too long or not, but my friends do and its cool to hear the subs from inside the car. Well, i wanted to up my power in my truck. It comes with the 8in subs in the door and i'd like to add two 12's. but Where would i put them since i dont want to use the space under the rear seats? Also, has anyone just put in an amp and not bigger subs, and seen how it does; thinking that maybe it would get louder and more bass power? Or can everyone tell that i dont know much about sound systems? Where does everyone put it, if not und the rear seats?

I wouldn't just add an amp, it will end up blowing your stock speakers. I am kind of thinking the same as you. I don't want to put subs under the rear seats, I am thinking there must be a box to put behind the rear seat....haven't looking into it much yet. There is another post here, with similar questions and I posted a link to a site that might help you out some. Good luck

you can get a stealth box if you have a quad cab... that fits under the seat and will hold one 10' I belive. There is also a box that holds one 10 or 12 inch that fits behind the rear seats that is supposed to be really awsome. Or you can be like me and get 2 seperate boxes and set one behind each seat and have 2 12's (I have a RC and wanted to preserve at least szome of the space behind my seats.
