Default Flex plate\torque converter bolts

I have a 03 ram 1500 4x4 5.7 hemi. I am pulling the engine to build it up and am to the point where I need to remove the flexplate to torque converter bolts. I cannot find access to these bolts anywhere. There is a plate between the engine\bellhousing that I am guessing is making it not possible to access these bolts. Does any1 know if I remove all the bellhousing bolts will the dust shield\plate be able to be pulled out and gain me access to those bolts? Thanks

What do u mean ? "Though the starter opening"??.... the starter opening is only like the size of a golf ball and u can barely even see just a little bit of the flexplate.....u cannot access the bolts through that hole......u can barely even see but like a half inch of the flexplate.....All u can really see is the teeth of it

Okay so there is a plate on the bottom held in with 4 bolts. It's called a structural dust shield. Remove that and your in.

This. Then you'll be able to access each one as you rotate the engine around. Make sure you mark it so you can put it back the same way.

Default Head bolts have oil on them

Okay so I have another question. I have the engine out of my truck and was removing the heads and noticed that 2 of the head bolts on the driver side head had engine oil on them when I pulled them out...only 2 of them..what would cause this? Is it normal? I only have one head off so far. Haven't took the passenger side head off yet to see if any of those have oil on them...any help would be greatly appreciated.thank u
