New truck engine
Ok so in looking at a new truck, I'm looking at a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. My question is this, I'm having trouble finding any detailed info on the engine . Does that year only come with the 5.7 hemi, and 4.7? Is there a 5.7 that's not a hemi? I will try to upload a pic of some info on the sticker if that helps . Thanks
03-now pretty much is 4.7 sohc, 5.7 Hemi and whatever V6 they decided to throw in. Some 03's used leftover stock of the 5.9 liter/360 gasoline magnum engines.
The 5.7 in todays terms is the 345cubic inch Hemi V8. There was only 2 other 5.7 liter chrysler engines and that was in the 50s, one of the first B block engines and also the 345 DeSoto Firedome Hemi & poly of the late 57-58.
