Default '04 Ram Evaporator/dash removal

No luck in FAQ search. Has anyone done this themselves? My comp is coming apart and mechanic said evap will need flushing but I have a case leak into floorboard and blend door actuator bad. Might as well replace evap and hc if I am that far into it. Looking for advice on dash removal and hidden things to look for.

Well, I tackled this beast over a 3 day period this week. That time frame also included new calipers and rotors on the front as well as a new water pump. Dropped the steering column, pulled the dash, disconnected the heater core hoses, evaporator lines and pulled the HVAC box out. Replaced 3 of the 5 doors due to broken hinge/gear drive slots, cleaned up the evap and case. Replaced the ac compressor, accumulator and hard line w/orifice. Heater hose tube from water pump was leaking and cannot be removed due to lack of space between boss and pump pulley so the pump got replaced, again.

These videos were helpful for doing this task. Some differences in the "06-"08 dash in the vids and the '02-'05 like in my '04 but still helpful.

What a nightmare!
Luckily just my blend door hinge point failed that controls outside and inside air requests so I took the blower motor off and reached up there and taped the loose door over the outside air opening. Has been working that way for about 4 or so years now. Defrost and everything seem to work, just can't get outside air. Better than me tearing my dash apart and never getting it back 100%
I envy you for even tearing into a project like that. I also watched the youtube videos because I was afraid I was going to have to go that route when the door first fell down onto the blower!
Thanks for reminding me of what I thought I was going to have to go through!
Any new rattles???
