2002 Dodge ram 1500 SLT 4.7 cranks but will not start
Hello to all,
My 1500 overheated and engine died. Took it home and inspected, two rocker arms came off on passenger side. I took heads off, passenger side grinder off and unusable. Two valve seats came off but and one of them barely touched the piston...piston has a round mark but barely noticeable. Got reconstructed heads from a reputable shop.
I installed heads but the 1500 will not start. This is what I have done so far:
*Reconstructed heads w/reinforced valve seats
*New head gaskets
*New tensioners
*New oil filter and motor oil
*New thermostat
*New timing cover gaskets
*New battery
*New spark plugs
*New head bolts
*New exhaust manifold gaskets
*Inspected pistons before putting on heads
I have checked and tried:
*Fuel pump giving me 45psi
*Fuel injector connectors have power
*Have spark
*Installed new crank sensor
*Installed new cam sensor
*Checked and cleaned connectors for fuse module (all fuses and relays working)
*Used scanner and ran a test and sent pulse to all injectors
*Have not checked if the actual injector is praying gas
*I was getting a run/mismatch error but it went away after installing new cam sensor
*Used ethanol to try and start but will not do anything except cranking
*Checked timing on chains and it is correct
*Getting 5 milliseconds from injector connectors
*I am getting an error "FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIOT VOLTS TOO HIGH". The gas gage on the instrument panel was not working before...not sure what this error is about. Pump is giving me 45 psi
*Took PCM off and opened it...it looks fine. It has a label that at some point received an authorized software update. Maybe a software issue?
*The cranking sound is good and continuos.
*Getting 140-150 compression
*Checked wiring from PCM and all around
*checked all grounds including the ones behind the heads
I am running out of ideas! Any help would be appreciated

my 4.7 did the same thing, come to find out, I had been using the same key for so long that the teeth no longer communicated with ignition and pcm, luckily I had a second key and soon as I used it, truck fired right up.also make sure your not locked out of truck from the security system. try and disable security system and see if truck will fire.
