Default Removing a Dayco PBI harmonic balancer

I recently had to replace the HB on my 04 Ram 5.7 and ran into an issue soon after.

My old factory balancer had failed failed and I could only find the pbi/dayco aftermarket part to replace it in my area. This balancer is noticeably different and has a dust collar installed. Well I simply switched it out and went on. I thought the collar looked really close to the seal when I installed it but I started the truck and it sounded fine. Drove it a few days and the front seal started leaking. I ordered a replacement and noticed it has a groove for the dust collar my molar seal does not as my molar oe balancer lacked this dust cover on the replacement.

Heres where the fun starts....

Removing the stick pulley is simple, use the Chrysler puller and it fits one no sweat includes pins to keep it off the crank end, cool.

The dayco pb1681n does not accept the Chrysler puller.... and no other puller does singularly at the local parts store (O'Reilly's in my case)! I did however after running to a few stores was successful at devising a solution.

If if you use puller 67036 and pull the arms off anf place them on puller 67021 it fits! Use a 3/4 3/8 drive socket with a 1/2"to3/8" adapter to push against with the pull and wedge a 8" 1/2" drive extension to lock pulley.
