Fault lights in dash - need opinions

I have been getting a couple of lights in my dash lately that are getting very annoying.
The first is my ABS/brake light. It comes on with no warning or particular cause. It does happen mostly when the road is wet. I have taken the plug apart at my rear end and applied non-conductive electrical grease to prevent moisture, but it still does it. Most of the time I can clear it by wiggling the ignition switch a little.
The second one is new. I get a lamp out light in my odometer window. It seems to have a short in it because it will go on and off while driving, usually when hitting bumps. Now it just comes on and stays on. I have checked all my bulbs and everything is working...except the fog light lenses are busted and the fog lights don't work. But they have been this way for almost a year. Why would it just now be giving a fault?
I haven't flashed the codes to see what comes up, but will do that today and post them.
Anybody ever had this problem? I tried a search, but didn't really find any anything specific to this.
BTW - I have an '03 QC HEMI auto.
