ECM Codes & Wind Shield High Setting
I just purchased a high mile 3500 Ram. The previous owner advised that the high speed windshield wiper setting did not work due to issues with the ECM. I also have codes displaying related to [B210D Battery voltage low SRS {stored}. [U0019 Controller Area Network B BUS SRS {stored}] [C2100 Battery voltage Low ABS {stored}] [C2101 Battery voltage High ABS {stored}] [P2609 Intake Air Heater System Performance ECM {pending Mil} [P2609 Intake Air Heater System Performance Mod {Confirmed}. [P2609 Intake Air Heater System Performance; Mod {pending}.
I have over 280000 miles on what I believe is the original ECM and from what I am reading online, replacing the current ECM would not be a bad thing as a general rule, however I want to try to ensure that I will be clearing up some of the issues identified above when I do so. Am I on the right track?

replacing an ecm due to dtc or high mileage/age is at best a shot in the dark. dtc can be set from bad sensors, wiring/connections or modules. testing must be done to determine which is causing the fault.
All of the low voltage/loss of comm dtc....When the batteries slowly discharge the modules go offline. The timing of this causes other modules to see this as a fault. make sure the batteries are good....load test them. Replace the bad ones and charge the ones that pass. Clear the dtc and see what resets. Address what resets using a dtc diagnostic tree.
