Default 48re to nv4500 driveshaft length!

Hi,

1st post and one i havent been able to find much one.

Im converting a 2003 ram 2500 diesel with a 48re to a nv4500.
my kit is complete and im hoping to start the swap next weekend.
my only question is.
if im correct the nv 4500 is about 3/4'' shorter then the 48re.
Im wondering if i will have enough spline engament on my rear driveshaft if its 3/4 further forward. if i should get the driveshaft lengthened or if i can get away with it.( or a longer yoke)

opinions please!!.

Thanks

Go to driveshaft specialists out of Texas, they have diagrams of how to measure for a new driveline. They may already have this on file, but you might want to give them a call, good people to work with!
