Hello everyone,

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 Hemi. Unfortunately my CV joints were starting to come apart. Digging deeper I found my front axle shafts were also worn and seized to the CV joints. I'm going to need to use my grinder to cut out the axles.

Question is where are the C Clips for getting the axles off in the Front Differential? For the life of me I cannot find them. Also any good ways of getting the remainder of the CV joint and axle out?

 

Clips are internal. Get a slide hammer.

 

Did. Been pounding on it with a sledge hammer, slide hammer, MAPP gas torch and had a hydraulic jack trying to pop it out. Still nothing.

Running out out of ideas.
