2005 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi

I need a new power steering pump... how do I know if it's a snap ring or bolt on backing plate?

I also need to know which power steering pump I have if anyone could help with that. Mine is the 07 ram, SLT, not the 4 wheel drive(the 4x2 I think they call it) w/the 5.7l hemi, quad cad(not the mega cab).

Also, If anyone knows if there's a "how to" write up on the replacement/swap of the pump, that'd be great as well. If not, I might do one when I replace mine if anybody thinks that's a good idea.

Last question, I see there's several for sale at R/Auto and a couple a-1 Cardone Selects on A-prime. Is there any one or two brands out there that anyone recommends we should get AND, any out there that anyone recommends we should NOT get?

Side note:I've been driving for prob a year with no working pwr steering pump. About 15k miles. Truck has 150k on it. Think I did any damage to anything by driving so long without the pump working? I take it really easy on turns! Thanks again!
