how much boost can a stock 04 5.7 hemi take
I was thinking of putting a single small turbo on the truck something like 5lb its my daily drive don't wont nothing crazy hp plus its all stock beside headers and dual exhaust cant find anybody put a good tune to up the hp buddy mine can get turbo for a good price which it can be adjusted all the way to 10lb.maybe in the furture when I win the lottery ill build the motor to hold all 10lb, but i know I want a mild cam in it so whats a good cam for these trucks
Hemifever and Johan "Diablotoona" are the two tuners I know of for Dodge vehicles. See if you can contact either of them, you should be able to find them on the forums with a little searching. I don't know if they can help with a turbo install or not, though.
*EDIT* N/M -- The Googles show that these things are about $5,500 +/- for the 5.7L.
thanks for the reply's my buddy can get the turbo way cheaper then then $5k next question is whats a good mild cam for these engine just enough to make it chop mine has a clicking sound, sounds like rocker arm not getting enough oil or it loose that's the reason for the cam while its apart put a good cam in.
yes i did an still using the v6 tranny which is 45rfe soon I'll be changing that to a 545rfe and fuel cell also the og 02 v6 one. it came out of 04 slt so now my base model truck is a slt it has everything electric and also have that thing in the headliner with the compass and the mpg and all.an I don't know if im the only one whos done this motor swap I've seen pic of a few people put no video of them running.

Don't need to change the trans (same trans, only programming difference for the extra OD gear), just the TCM depending on what year PCM you used. If you used the 04 PCM then your trans automatically became a 545.
did the swap thing runs great well did im throwing a p0300 code i can disxonnext the battery and reconnect the thing runs great for about 5 mins throws bank 2 1 and 2 o2 sensors high voltage but i just replaced both any ideas ?
you could have a wiring issue sound like o2 sensor is shorting and making the truck run rich which will cause the misfire or it could be the cam and crank sensor
