Ram 1500 SLT 03 cruise control.
Anyone have problems with the cruise control on this baby?
Can't seem to "set speed" although the cruise display, lights up in the instrument cluster.
Keeping the "set speed" button pressed in for about 2 seconds switches off the cruise display.
I figure therefore, that the set speed button/switch must be OK if it turns off cruise?

sorry to hear you've got trouble with you new truck. I can only suggest the obvious things like check the vacuum lines to the diaphram that operates the cruise and check your brake pedal adjustment. On most cruise set ups there is a switch on the brake pedal that switches off the cruise (brakes the vacuum) when the brakes are applied. Check that it's not being depressed all the time and therefor stopping the cruise from setting.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Not sure about DC products, but on some GM products the cruise control will not work when the third break light bulb is out.
Another thought, once again on GM products there are two switches on your brake pedal, one lights the brake lights, the other cuts the cruise control. Possible your switch that disables the CC on your truck is stuck or bad.
