The transmission shift cable broke in my 2002 ram 1500. The truck is currently stuck in D, how do I manually get it into park to replace the cable? Every thread I've read say it's better to do this when the vehicle is in park. Thank you in advance.

 

put the ebrake on or choke the wheels so it does run you over. go under the vehicle...find the trans shift likage on the left side of the trans. pop of the cable and push the lever into park.
