I would expect some oil use with 180K. However it maybe the brand of oil you are using. Mine would use a quart between changes, until I switched to Mobile 1.

My Ram does not use oil. But...my daughter purchased a used 2004 VW Passat 1.8T years ago that went through a quart of oil every three weeks. The previous owner (one owner) strictly used Amsoil so that's what I used. I decided to try a different brand in the same grade and specs. I think it was Valvoline Syntech. Never added another quart between oil changes.
I have used nothing but Mobil 1 in my cars and trucks for the past 27 years. I've never had any issues with consumption.
