Default power steering filter

has anyone installed a power steering filter on a 2004 Ram 1500 5.7 hemi? If so what set up & filter did you use?

Not sure why you'd want to do that. I doubt anyone has an after-market kit. You'll likely have to cobble something together. Maybe an automatic transmission filter?

Here are images of a Google search I performed.

I used this style on my 1997 Dodge Ram years ago. It goes right inside the hose. Just get it in the outflow line and you're good. It also wouldn't hurt to regularly flush the power steering fluid ~50K miles. It's no different than oil or transmission fluid, but most people just overlook it as not important.

Changed the power steering pump and it was noted that a ps filter was recommended. Wasn't sure if it was a CYA from pump MFG {liability) or something that I should consider to add. Found several local suppliers but no one had a filter with the I.D. I needed.
Thank you all for comeback.
