I have a 2004 ram 1500 SLT Quad cab short bed 4.7L v8 with 9.25 rear end, automatic, I am looking at buying a camper and everything I am looking at is around 3800 lbs. My truck weighs in at 6250 curb weight. I am running into trouble finding out if this truck will haul it or not, R.v Dealers are all giving me diff. answers as to what I can haul. Any help appreciated. Truck does not have tow package as far as I know,it has tow/haul button on shift lever if that helps.Thanks for help.

 

Have you had your truck weighed before? I have an '06 quad cab hemi. Fully loaded for work my truck weighs in at about 5800lbs. That includes a large full size toolbox loaded to the top, a large cooler with ice and spare fluids for the truck. I could be wrong but your rig seems a little bit heavy to me.

 

I had it checked the other day and they said it was 6250 lbs.
